If there was ever a ring that channeled a regal presence- this is the one. Found in Paris, this one-of-a-kind antique diamond ring, circa 1890, was beautifully hand-crafted in 18K yellow gold. Remnants of enamel remain in its ornate scrolling band and one generously-sized rose cut diamond radiates a beauty and noblesse that transcends time. We estimate the diamond carat weight to be between 2.3-2.5ct, though the exact weight can not be ascertained while the stone remains in the setting. The back of the rose cut is set in typical old Victorian (or Napoleon III, as it is French) fashion, close-backed and foiled, and as a result must be worn with care as not to allow water to penetrate the mounting.
Though we can’t image a more beautiful engagement ring for the vintage romantic bride, caution must be taken in wearing this piece every day. This elegant and rare jewel deserves to be to treasured for a lifetime!
